Terms of service

The terms governing use of this website and Buildpilotgrid’s financial readiness review engagements.

Effective 15 August 2026

Acceptance and scope

By using this website, you accept these terms. Information on the site is general and does not create a reviewer-client relationship. A paid engagement begins only when Buildpilotgrid and the named client accept a written scope and payment terms.

Buildpilotgrid provides independent franchise application financial readiness reviews. The work is not a statutory audit, legal opinion, tax advice, regulated financial advice, credit decision, business valuation or assurance that a franchise, lender or landlord will accept an application.

Client responsibilities

Clients must provide information they reasonably believe is accurate, complete and lawfully obtained; disclose material changes; review factual statements in draft findings; and obtain specialist advice where a question falls outside the scope. Decisions and commitments remain the client’s responsibility.

Fees, scheduling and cancellation

Fees and milestones appear in the engagement letter. Website prices are guidance and may change before a quote is accepted. Cancellation, rescheduling, deposits and refunds are addressed in our refund policy and the applicable engagement letter.

Intellectual property

Buildpilotgrid owns the site design, original articles, review formats and general methods. A client may use and share their final readiness note with their own professional advisers for the purpose stated in the engagement. The note may not be republished, sold, altered to misrepresent our opinion or presented as a lender assurance report.

Confidentiality and privacy

We handle personal information under our privacy notice. Each party must protect confidential information received during an engagement, except where disclosure is authorised, required by law or reasonably needed by a bound professional service provider.

Liability

To the extent permitted by South African law, Buildpilotgrid is not liable for indirect, consequential or speculative loss, lost opportunity, franchise performance, third-party decisions or changes arising after the review date. Our aggregate liability for a claim connected with an engagement is limited to the fee paid for that engagement, except where a limit is prohibited by law or loss results from fraud, wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act or other applicable legislation.

Website availability and external material

We aim to keep information accurate, but franchise requirements, lending practices and law change. Links and third-party documents are not endorsements. We may correct, suspend or remove website material without notice.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. The parties should first attempt in good faith to resolve a dispute by written discussion. If unresolved, South African courts with lawful jurisdiction may hear the matter.
