Who this review is for

This engagement suits a prospective franchisee who has received enough information to test the financial commitment: an application form, franchise disclosure document, estimated establishment costs, funding correspondence or preliminary cash-flow forecast. It is especially useful before submitting a finance application, paying a substantial deposit or accepting a site-dependent obligation.

Buildpilotgrid provides the work directly through an experienced financial reviewer. The review is independent of franchisors, brokers and lenders.

What we examine

  • Your available contribution, accessible reserves and stated liabilities
  • Establishment costs, franchise fees, fit-out allowances and VAT treatment
  • Working-capital provision during opening and early trading
  • Sales, gross-margin, payroll, rental and royalty assumptions
  • Repayment pressure under a more cautious trading case
  • Consistency between figures in the application and supporting records
  • Unanswered questions that should be taken to the franchisor, accountant, attorney or lender

What you receive

You receive a private intake meeting, document review, a 60-minute findings meeting and a written readiness note. The note separates confirmed information, assumptions, missing evidence and material questions. It does not simply issue a pass or fail; it shows where the application is well supported and where judgement is still exposed.

How the engagement runs

1. Scope and document list

After an introductory call, we confirm that the franchise opportunity and your application stage are suitable. We send a focused document request rather than asking for an unrestricted file dump.

2. Financial reading

Your reviewer reconciles the proposed investment with the records supplied, compares the opening budget with the franchisor’s stated requirements and stress-tests key cash demands. One clarification round is included.

3. Findings conversation

We discuss the major observations in plain language. You can challenge assumptions and identify facts that were not evident in the papers.

4. Readiness note

The final note records the review boundaries, priority gaps and questions to resolve. Delivery is normally within seven to ten working days after all requested documents arrive.

Preparation and boundaries

Please remove unnecessary identity numbers and unrelated account activity before sending records. We may need proof of funds, a liabilities schedule, finance indications, the disclosure document, draft lease terms and the franchisor’s estimated opening budget.

This is a financial readiness review, not an audit, legal opinion, credit approval, franchise recommendation or guarantee of business performance. We do not value the franchisor, verify every representation made by third parties, prepare tax returns or negotiate a loan. Specialist accounting, tax and legal advice remains separate.
